Jim Cooper and Nexus explores the more contemporary side of jazz with a quartet of vibes, sax, bass and drums and will be performing at the 2019 South Haven Jazz Festival in downtown South Haven, Michigan.
In the group with me is saxist Derek Brown, bassist Nick Calandro and drummer Randy Marsh. I am trying to write some new music for the group along with tunes by Ornette Coleman, Derek Brown and others. Stay tuned and I hope people come to check us out.
